Bodega Finca Los Maza
The viticulture tradition of this family draws back to the twilight years of the 20th century. The Maza family is an important part in the history of Mendoza and mentioned in the epic of the Andes Mountains Army. It is precisely on the vineyards of Don Isidro Maza where the this epic story begin. The wines of Los Maza continues to tell stories to this day. Finca Los Maza has deep roots in Mendoza having cultivated vines there for over 80 years. Don Isidro Maza worked the vineyards in Uco Valley and Juan Tonconogy and Alex Campbell(Don Isidro's grand-son) continue that family tradition today. They are now making wine together with fruit from the Maza estate which has 0,405 hectare (Nothing!) at 3600 feet elevation (1100 mtr asl). Their first vintage was 2002, they strive for low yields in the vineyard and use French and American oak barrels.

Bodega Carmine Granata
The quality of a wine begins in the vineyard. This winery grow their grapes in Finca Las Compuertas. The area consists of 276 acres of Malbec, Pinot Noir, and Semillon, located in a prime viticultural area of Mayor Drummond within Luján de Cuyo. Growing conditions are very good, in excellent soil with low organic content and superior drainage. At 3,300 feet the humidity is low and there is no need to use herbicides and pesticides.
The vines are forty to eighty years old and trained on low trellises and irrigated with carefully controlled melted snow water. All this results in low yields of no more than 8,000 lb/acre. The grapes reach maturity in optimal health, and with very good concentration of tannins without sacrificing sugar and acidity levels. Harvest is done by hand in small crates.
Carmine Granata recomended to us the following wines for your enjoyment:
